Development and Communications Intern: Make-A-Wish® Oregon
Portland, Ore., June 2012 – September 2012
• Worked with a team managing four internal events held by Make-A-Wish, as well as two external events benefiting Make-A-Wish.
• Successfully proposed ways to make each event more successful.
• Managed relationships with donors using Razor’s Edge.
• Wrote acknowledgement letters and sent them to more than 150 donors.
• Attended a wish and learned the logistics behind the wish team.
• Tracked all media coverage about Make-A-Wish.
• Assisted at all summer fundraising events, including Summer Wishes, KATU Miles for Smiles, KVAL Miles for Smiles, Waffles and Wishes, and Tonkin Golf Tournament.

• Assisted the director of protocol and events with managing the performers, patients and families, in addition to making sure the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
